The wines.

Legends talk about the origins of Dionis - God of the wines, and it is said his greatest wine cellars are located in the Strumica region. The same God today we celebrate as St. Triphun on the 14th of February.  During the archeological researches in this area we found traces of the great winemaking knowledge from ancient times, in the era of king Phillip II and Alexander The Great’s rule. In combination with the newest technology, the old, traditional mastery can be noticed in the taste of the established character of our wines. All wines, white as much as the red ones are rich in flavors,  powerful, even expressively tropical , clear, vividly fruity, they have great intensity: spicy, buttery, with individual character, and can be drunk young or aged, time is a factor that separates a noticeably developed complexity.

This is a full-bodied red wine with dark fruit flavors and savory tastes from black pepper to bell pepper, herbal/floral flavors of graphite, violets, tobacco and fruit. In its smell, you would often get hints of black cherries and licorice along with its earthiness. Our Amfora Cab wine tends to have a bit less tannin and acidity, and is one of the more complex and layered wines out there. Because of its traits, look for foods high in fat, with stronger flavors for a fine pairing. Try this Cabernet Sauvignon with a charred gruyere burger, a mushroom pizza with tomato sauce or a marinated rib eye steak. To champion the fruit flavors in Cabernet Sauvignon, do not mix it with chocolate. Instead, drink it with braised short ribs or mushroom stroganoff.

A very old local variety Vranec, fermented in an exceptional traditional way by using amphoras that were found during the processing of the fields in the exact area where the vineyards of Dalvina are located now. A balanced, delicate and aromatic wine that soothes all senses. It welcomes the company of banquet meals, especially during cold winter times.

A semi-dry wine with a soft pink color and character which makes it outstandingly attractive from the rest of the wines of our choice. Even a single sip could leave the consumer mesmerized by the taste and aromas of the wild strawberries, caramel and honey. A wine that matches perfectly with all kinds of desserts. To be chilled at 10-12 °C.

A wine with pear, apple, tropical and citrus fruit flavors. Our Amfora Chardonnay tends to be crisp and fresh. An extraordinary wine, its fruitiness and acidity vouch for themselves, as they are often clean and sharp on the palate. Try it with semi-soft mild goat and cow’s milk cheeses, chicken breast, turkey breast, pork loin, trout, oily flaky fish, Atlantic salmon, lobster, crab, shrimp, oysters, yellow squash, peas, zucchini, asparagus, sun chokes, seitan, white mushrooms, truffles, chanterelles, or almonds! This quality, sweet and light, muscat-type, varietal, very aromatic Temjanika wine has a rich palette of aromas such as orange blossom, orange peel, white flowers, dried and fresh apricots, honey and musk perfume. Made to be enjoyable with ease, our Muscat Blanc plays pretty and lasts on the palate. Tons of floral notes present, but with enough flavor to not disappear for an entire minute after swallowing. It is a deeply balanced wine, best served very chilled and enjoyed right away, as it loses its best traits being kept in an open glass. It is the wine to make any occasion feel special.

This coppery-caramel wine has a distinct, intensely aromatic, sweet and easily recognizable scent of Muscat. Unusual for most wine varieties, it actually tastes like grapes. Highly aromatic with a rich coloring, it always has a pronounced sweet floral aroma and can be just mildly sparkling. Muscat grapes, perhaps the oldest domesticated grape variety, have been found to have high concentrations of antioxidants and flavonoids in quantities as high as many varieties of red grapes. This means that the beneficial effects of red wine consumption are also present in our Muscat wines.

Our still type of this beautiful wine displays many aromas and flavors: cassis, black and red cherries, blackberry, blueberry, boysenberry, mulberry and plum. Earthy, floral and herbal, as well as vegetable notes can be noticed. Very enjoyable as a varietal wine with stable structure and depth of flavor. While it ages well, it can also be consumed young. Our Merlot is a good accompaniment to plainly prepared beef and lamb dishes.

A lightly oaked, spicy, romantic deep rouge and transparent at the edge of the glass, turning into dark red-violet. Offers feature fruity or spicy elements that serve to bring out the full taste texture of the its grapes. Enjoy this wine's very peppery finish in combination of black cherry, nuts, honey, spices like cinnamon and white pepper. With decanting the result is a magnification of the fruits' natural flavors and acidity, while it picks up hints of mocha and dried apricots, and evolves for hours. The most striking thing about this wine is its richness and how fruit driven it gets. Shows amazing balance and will age for a very long time. Perfect complement to a juicy steak or burger, goes very well with beef and other hearty and spicy foods. Rich and full, should be served from a large glass at 20ºC.

An ancient variety considered a local specialty, it produces dry red wine of a unique taste and character, associated with strength, potency and success. Our Vranec has an intensive purple hue and nose full of red berries and fruit jams. Its firm tannin structure provides crispness and richness with medium levels of extraction and acidity. After a year or two of aging, the purple transcends into an intense dark ruby and it develops a more complex aroma that can include hints of cinnamon, chocolate, black fruits and herbs. The taste is subtle, round and full, it loses its sharpness and develops a longer, hot and cherry finish and smoother madeira aftertaste.

Cabernet Sauvignon grown in our region with a perfect combination of soil , sun, water and gently strokes of wind produced this wine with fantastic delicious dark ruby purple glossy looking color. It s distinguished notes of graphity minerals, freshly crushed green peppers and abundant gorgeous succulent rasp-straw-bleu-black berry fruits. Likewise the palate is richly loaded with generous layers of seductive luscious black currants, straw- and raspberries, sitting along side. Good balance of acidity and ripe tannins. A very nicely crafted wine that will continue to improve for a few years. Splendidly pleasing stuff…

A smooth, medium-bodied red with excellent balance, hints of oak and the impulse to open another bottle after finishing the first! Cabernet Franc is rarely bottled as a stand-alone varietal. This medium-bodied, ruby red wine has the signature of herbaceous or vegetative aromas, green bell peppers or stems. Other notes include allspice, dark plums, violets, raspberry, black cherry, red currant, vanilla, coconut, smoke, toast, tar, mushroom, earth, cedar and cigar box. Pair Cabernet Franc wines with goat cheese, chicken, duck, Asian-styled noodles, babaganoush, lightly spiced curries, game birds, lasagna, cheese pizza, mint sauce, rosemary, choucroute garnie, Mexican dishes and turkey (dark meat).

Our wine, typically pale green to straw in color, is easily recognizable for its grassy-lemongrass, herbaceous flavor and aroma notes of bell pepper, green olive, asparagus, chives, also fruity such as melon, citrus, pineapple and passion fruit. It tends to be dry and crisp with a lively refreshing acidity. A food-friendly wine, which can enhance the flavor of a great meal.

A first class sparkling vintage wine prepared in traditional manners. It is a spirit which has been made during a year-long process, created for its one and only purpose - to be the highlight of any celebration and a part of all solemn moments. Abundant with enthralling freshness, the wine can still be felt for quite some time after the first sip. The most considerable thing that would be noticed are the strong muscat aromas, interwoven with a sweet flowery scent and an essence of ripe strawberries, blackberries and raspberries. Best served chilled.

What gives a sparkling nature of the freshly opened wine is the secondary fermentation after the bottling, which is actually the process during which most of the carbon dioxide is formed in this excellent vintage wine. As a highlight of any celebration and a part of all glam moments, it has an inevitable seducing freshness which lasts long after the first sip. The most considerable things to be noticed are the strong yeast and nutty flavors, interwoven with ripe tree fruit on the palate, a sweet flowery scent, an essence of ripe banana, cream and vanilla added to a perfect finish. This fantastic Merlot opens the battle with deep, bright color, a lovely mix of fruits, mostly from black character. Black cherry and blackberry fill out the palate with some recognizable black pepper. The middle shows great complexity with wild cherries that give freshness; the ripeness of the fruits combined with the rounded tannins enriches the back palate and reverberation.

Produced from the grape variety with the same name, Vranec - its main characteristic a deep ruby-red color with purple tones. Complex aromas evoke figments of pureed plum in combination with blackberry and roasted coffee beans. It has a full bodied flavor, perfectly balanced, with excellent structure and profound long-lasting fruit notes.

This very elegant and filigree Syrah brings a lot of happening on the nose. Fresh dried grass, chocolate and a hint of Arabic mint is followed from rich and sweet red flavors on the palate. Red currant and raspberry show up. A nice balance between lighter elegance fruited freshness as well as a hint of white pepper leads into an endless finish.

This mighty Cabernet is full of rich fruits, autumn leaves and cedar wood. Black currant and sloe feel ripe and smooth, black cherries on the back adds to the great complexity.The finished is characterized with cocoa and mocha aromas.

A first class wine with a noticeable purity of fruit aromas such as peach, kiwi, drops of lemon and a slight of pleasant minerality. Aged in oak barrels, the wine is provided with an ability to last more than ten years and continue to develop perfectly in the bottle without losing its crispness and quality. As time passes, the Chardonnay barrique develops a pronounced aroma of cognac, a full body and balanced fruit notes. A very attractive wine that fits exactly to every taste.

DEVI is a late-harvest wine, which holds a sweet, dessert like quality, or can alternatively be termed ice wine. It gets its flavors from spices and herbs, particularly fruity sweet and subtle with the lush flavors of ripe raspberry, juicy strawberry, dried apples, cinnamon, dark cherry, a touch of fig, putting forward a sting of black berries along with thick layers of spice. This extraordinary red wine aggressively throws its profound sweetness into the palate. Some rich toffee under the veil of plum jam should be expected in the combined character. Mainly used as an apéritif and sometimes mixed in drinks. Consider giving this wine a run with chocolate-based desserts, fresh fruit and pecan.
